Matt Gillman
Twenty-five years of proof that creativity isn't a department.
Matt's creative life is the proof that creativity isn't a department — it's a way of operating. Summers in Rutherglen, weekdays in Melbourne, the off-months in Bali. Twenty-five years of making things in places most designers never go: hospitality rooms, men's skincare, gin, fintech, SaaS.
He founded 24 Digital in 1999 and grew it into one of Melbourne's most reputable boutique agencies before selling to Fusion Corp in 2015. The client list crossed continents and categories — United Nations, Stussy, Russell Athletic, Rip Curl, BMW, Callaway Golf, Telstra, ANZ, NAB.
Since then he hasn't stopped making: three Melbourne venues (one a beautiful failure he won't shut up about), men's skincare brand HANDSOME (sold to Pure Beauty Australia), fintech HelpCompare (sold to private buyers), website bug-tracker Tracey, and Death Gin — born from a love of historical stories and the stubborn belief that small spirits can outpunch the big ones.
